'Tonight the stars revolt!' - Powerman 5000

(This issue, movie reviews have been replaced with a music review, just because I happened to have bought a new CD.)

I'll admit that I bought this album mainly for their most often-played track, "When worlds collide", and upon a quick first listen, it sounded like I'd be disappointed with the rest of the album. Listen to it a couple of times, though, and it's actually a pretty decent album. "Worlds Collide" is sort of an oddball on this album, in that it's heavier and with more of a consistent driving beat than most of the other songs. Powerman 5000 in general has the offbeat flavour of Marilyn Manson, with more musical talent. Fans of Front Line Assembly or KMFDM / MFMDK will probably enjoy this album, although it's a lot less computer-generated in tone than most of FLA. Added bonus: it's got an excellent cover of 'Let the good times Roll' that actually makes that tune listenable..
