Prose and Poetry
(Kari Stiller)

Shivertouch

Anesthesia glows, swirl milky wondertwitch,
Fingertip to fingertip, graze and shiverburn
Sin in cilia, passing cells greetings pitch
Till tumble neurons absence-learned.

Tremblelips delight to suffocate
Emit no breath towards oceanskin
Spurt-think as mind abbreviates
"Begplead that we shall touch again."

Sight returns and finds but drought.
Your presence gone from my curlclutch.
Exhale my hope in flickered doubt
That ever we did shivertouch.
